Rally Day 2009
Bible Study Class
This is an intergenerational class consisting of adults studying different books of the Bible. We will be studying ACTS from the Interpretation Series this fall. As we move into the spring and finish ACTS, the class will select another book to study. As we study and attempt to discern God’s work, we enjoy thoughtful and lively discussions, and share our own experiences as part of these discussions. We welcome all who would like to join us. The class meets on the ground floor of Building “B.”
The Fellowship Class
typically devotes itself to the study of books of the Bible. We have about forty-eight members on roll, twelve who serve as teachers for the class. Our membership is composed of long time Seven Oaks members and those who are new members of the church, and we warmly welcome any who wish to meet with us. The class meets on the ground floor of Building “B.”
Mini-Courses
Mini-Courses are short series of Bible study, theology, and special interest topics taught by leading experts in their field, which are offered twice during the Sunday School year. They feature topics and teachers of general interest to all adults and the adult classes combine to meet for these unique learning opportunities. Our first offering will be on the four Sundays of Advent. The second offering will be just before Easter. Watch the bulletin and the “Leaf” so that you don’t miss a thing!
The Cornerstone Class
We will study the gospel of Matthew, seeking to discern God’s message to us. We welcome all to join us in our journey. The class is taught by Dr. Fant and it meets upstairs in Building “B.”
Roads & Anchors Class
We are a class of people made of a variety of ages and stages with diverse opinions. Discussions are usually lively. We use an assortment of mostly contemporary materials, some with a video component. We seek to support one another in our journey of discipleship. New members are always welcome. The class meets upstairs in Building “B.”
